SmartVista is also very strong in defining service products for customers. All standard card products offered by Payment Schemes, such as Visa Electron or Eurocard Gold are defined as Card Types configured to match the license agreements between the issuer and the Payment Scheme, but there is a whole new dimension to define the bank's own product based on any of the card types supported by adding supplementary services or specifying additional conditions. This is done through the system feature called SmartVista Contract essentially, a contract template between the bank and the customer to control all aspects of service the customer is entitled to as a cardholder, merchant, or payroll or loyalty program owner. You start with defining a contract template for every category of customers and every service or product you are offering and apply the relevant contract to each new customer as you add them to the system. From this moment on, you no longer need to worry if you have to change customer limits, fees, rates or other contract details: change them once in the contract template, and they will apply automatically to all customers whose contracts are linked to this contract template. And of course you will always be able to offer personalised service to your high value customers by defining individual contract templates that will reflect every item of your agreement with them.
