The SmartVista Processing solution is based on two closely integrated software products,
SmartVista Back-Office and

Card Issuance providing all the relevant functions, from accepting a customer application to producing physical plastic and PIN envelopes, with direct interfaces to card personalisation devices;

Acquirer Front-End for on-line interaction with merchants, processing of POS and voice authorisation requests, cash withdrawal clearing and settlement, either over the counter or using ATMs;
Issuer Card Management to maintain information about cardholders and their cards and accounts, such as status, sub-account balances and transaction history, even about previously rejected customers, so that alerts may be generated while their new applications are processed, and also to produce regular and on-demand statements.
Merchant Management to maintain information about merchants including their hierarchies, merchant service charges, POS terminal details and transaction history, and, to produce merchant statements and supply all the relevant data for merchant billing and settlement. This also covers the bank's own ATM network;
Back-Office Transaction Processing for automatic processing of both Issuer and Acquirer financial transactions as they arrive through the clearing interfaces, and for the generation of all the required financial messages and files to complete the clearing through Payment Schemes and the attached core banking systems;
Exception Processing to automate the resolution of disputes and controversial situations, with built-in logic to generate chargebacks, representments and all other messages allowed for in the clearing cycle.
Graphical User Interface to provide authorised users controlled access to the required functionality of the system, depending on their role in the organisation and on the flexible personalisation settings; available as a 4GL client-side application or as a web interface that is available through any standard browser.
Payment Scheme Interfaces with international and local card schemes to perform on-line authorisation, exchange clearing messages and maintain your nostro accounts with the payment schemes' clearing banks. SmartVista comes with interfaces to Europay, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, JCB and UnionCard – which means that linking several different brand cards to the same account is no longer a problem.
Banking System Interface to easily integrate SmartVista into your existing IT infrastructure.
Interfaces to International Fraud Prevention Systems, such as SAFE, MATCH and NMAS.
Terminal Interoperability Modules to connect the required number of multi-vendor ATMs and POS terminals using the protocols of your choice.
Remote Access and Monitoring Module to allow integration with remote branches by providing them with a secure SmartVista access mechanism.
