As shown in Environment Options, the SmartVista Processing solution can be configured in a number of ways to provide support for more than one financial institution/ card scheme member. There are two main mechanisms based on which this functionality is provided: Master/Agent Institution hierarchy and Primary/Associated Member assignment.
Broadly speaking, the differences between these scenarios will mainly affect the following areas:
- whether SmartVista users can access data belonging to different financial institutions;
- whether transactions related to several institutions will be included in the same set of interface files or separate files for each institution;
- whether SmartVista will process the data belonging to each institution according to the same rules and schedules or individually.
